At first Steelbook was introduced in Europe only but shortly after it was obvious that also the United States were an interesting market.

G&M already had some customers in USA when it was decided to establish production in Ohio, USA.

The plant was opened in 2007 and at the same time G&M launched their new version of steelbook – the G2 – Steelbook which corresponds to new medias such as Blue-Ray and HD DVD.
