Glud og Marstrand

Poul Glud and Troels Marstrand founded the company on August 4th, 1879.

At that time G&M manufactured agricultural commodities such as milk pails but primarily they sold household goods and paraffin lamps to the Copenhagen ironmongers.

Inspired by the English tendencies G&M began manufacturing coffee pots in various shapes and qualities.

The pots were a forerunner of the popular enamel series that soon were to be found in almost every home in Denmark.

Apart from the very popular ”Madam Blue coffee pot” the assortment also included many other kitchen wares such as pots, pails, la-dles and tins and even a bath and gas ovens.
