The outcome, which has been called SteelBook™, consists of a metal exterior and an inner core of plastic, so that the usual methods of fixing the disc in place can still be used.

Both the interior and exterior can be decorated using numerous different decoration techniques such as lacquer and embossing.

SteelBook™ therefore creates a very exclusive feel and as practical and protective packaging will provide a revolutionary option for in-store marketing.
