An important part of double seaming metal packaging is that is seals completely. This process takes place at the customers’ own production facilities, and we offer our customers the benefit of the significant experience that we have built up in this area.
One of the ways of gaining access to our expertise is to take part in our Double Seaming Course. We offer a 2 day course, where we complete a training programme for those of our customers’ employees who work with double seaming.
On the first day of the course we give an introduction to the theory behind double seaming, how it is done and checked. In addition, we work with evaluating the seam’s measurements, visual characteristics and adjustments.
On the second day of the course we take a more active approach. We learn to adjust the sealing machine to the desired double seam. The seams are made on machines that we have adjusted incorrectly. This way, participants learn how to adjust the sealing machine until the double seam is perfect
The course concludes with each participant receiving a certificate for participation in the course.

Glud & Marstrand’s two-day Double Seaming Course is held 6-8 times a year, either at our own facilities or at the customers’. We have held the course in Danish, English, Dutch, Spanish, Chinese, Czech, Korean, and Serbo-Croatian.
The Double Seaming Course has existed in its present form since the beginning of the 70's, but we have held courses in the area since the 50's. G&M have held courses in China, Korea, Holland, Czech Republic, Israel, Botswana and USA, and more.
