Glud & Marstrand A/S is Scandinavia' largest producer of metal (tinplate) packaging and a significant supplier of aluminium packaging. G&M is characterised by a broad product range, quality and high service levels with respect to customers and cooperative partners. This is also demanded of G&M's suppliers.

G&M has a central purchasing function, which is responsible for all the Group's purchases, including supplier selection and agreements with these. Sourcing and orders are instigated by the respective divisions at G&M. It is the task of the purchasing function to uphold G&M's competitiveness with respect to purchases.

G&M's strategy is to consolidate the company's purchases as much as possible via group agreements. G&M perform ongoing evaluations of worldwide purchasing options.

For suppliers of goods that are part of G&M's sales and delivery system we generally demand that the supplier can document a quality control system equal to ISO-9001. Additonally, the supplier must already have implemented, or be implementing, hygeine certification.
